Nature Park Homolka - Vojířov

Homolka-Vojířov Nature Park was declared in 1994. It stretches between the protected landscape area of Třeboňsko and Česká Kanada Nature Park on the edge of two different geomorphological units – i.e. the Třeboňská pánev basin and Javořická vrchovina (highlands). Individual parts of the park are very different – in the west, there are ponds, and in the south, there are peat bogs; the remainder of the area is covered by forest. The core of the park is Novobystřická vrchovina (highlands) with the oblong granite ridge of Homolka summit (610.2 m) and the Bublavá skála (609 m) rock.

The Homolka forest complex has so far preserved a wide variety of plants; the best of which are protected in the Fabián Nature Reserve. Precious and protected bird species include black storks, stock owls, woodcocks, pygmy owls, elk, and many others.

Homolka-Vojířov Nature Park is an area with unique landscape characteristics with beautifully laid out farmhouses and farms. The location near the state border does not allow any development in the region which makes the area highly attractive to tourists.
